Recipe of the Day, Week No. 15: Fisher man soup

Fisher man's soup is one of the common soup in Africa and this is it season because now fresh fish season so almost every market has it and it is always very delicious, easy to cook soup this period.

Fisher man soup can be prepared and eat with any swallow either fufu,garri,semovita oat, rice etc. Everyone has their own recipe of it but there is this short method I used in preparing this turn pot fisher man soup.

Ingredients



Washed periwinkle and put it aside


Using hot water, I wash my fish so it will be clean and odourless


Washed my oyster very clean, be sure there is no sand in it.


Turn everything to the pot and add my seasoning, onion, fresh pepper keep it for some minutes then steam it.


Chopped okro and azuza leaf and keep aside


Cooking Steps


After steaming for 10 minutes, I added palm oil, crayfish, pepper and allow it to simmer for 3 minutes

I added a little water and more seasoning cubes and salt to taste then cover the pot to simmer,

I turned okro and the leaf to the pot and turned it evenly, the okra really draws and the soup was really tasty.


Okro soup is ready


I ate it with garri

It is easy right? It is easy to prepare

This was my main food for the day and I ate it with garri swallow.
Of course with the ingredients you should know this food is very nutritious, those fresh water creatures gives healthy omega-3 fatty acid a good source of protein and vitamins etc. Therefore, consuming this is very nutritious to the body.
