In the world of Hollywood fame,
Cuba Gooding Jr. sought to reclaim.
After his Oscar win so grand,
He took on roles that didn't quite stand.

"A Murder of Crows" was one such tale,
Of a lawyer's descent, his fall from the trail.
From New Orleans to Key West's shore,
Lawson Russell's life was twisted, no more.

A manuscript, a dead man, a mystery untold,
Lawson's fame, his fortune, soon turned cold.
With a predictable plot, a lackluster script,
The film's fate was surely adrift.

Despite the cast, the locations grand,
The screenplay failed to make a stand.
For audiences, a waste of time indeed,
As the film's obscurity was what it would need.

So heed this warning, and take it to heart,
"A Murder of Crows" failed to impart.
A lesson in filmmaking, a lesson in fame,
Sometimes even an Oscar can't save a name.
