Hi, all fellow Steemians,
Good morning from India,
This week was different as I was too busy online writing for different contests. I participated in different contests, including three "learning contests," and did fairly well. The week started as usual since my wife is normal after forty five days of hospital care after her surgery, but all is well now.
There is nothing special to report about, but another week of learning is over, and I see everything is back to normal. If anything, I touched 40 K SP, and now I have 8 dolphins in my pool.
I had decided to apply for the December curation team, so I spent some time finding two other Steemians and then writing the application, which was a time-consuming affair, but that part is over now as I have posted my application for the month of December with two established Steemians.
Application for community curators, December 2024 - Dream Team
On the "Learning Season" front, I feel astonished when I see many Steemians taking part in so many contests, but I could never post in more than 3 in any week, and I hope to post two this week again if all works as per my plans. However, I still feel there should be more scope for topics like travel and regular blogging for users like me.
On my writing front, I am trying to do my best, but posting in the fiction, photography, and literary niches, so I have no problems, even if most learning is out of my reach, at least at the age that I am right now. I am posting my regular 8-10 posts per week, including my power-up posts. This week I did two, including one dolphin post that took me past the 40K SP mark.
Meet A Steemian with 40K Steem and looking for more
This week I posted in different communities, but I had to discuss my coming project starting in February 2025, so that needed my time offline too. However, I did not stop participating in a couple of contests and did at par. As usual, I am posting my regular posts, power-up posts, and reports for various tasks as part of the job.
As a routine, despite being busy, I am spending a lot of time looking for newbies. I agree my busy offline schedule slowed me down a bit, yet I selected two talented newbies as usual.
I again visited as many posts as I could and selected some of the best, irrespective of their ranks, club status, communities, and countries, the only condition being they should rank under 50, but this time I selected a newbie who posted her monthly report, and I know she is talented and will soon rise to the status of star writer.
I supported two more newbies, keeping them as beneficiaries in my different posts. As I always mention, I will keep supporting newbies because my "Newbie Support Program is working well, and I feel good when I see newbies showing their happiness when they read my comments on their posts.
A New Initiative to help newbies
I selected my first "newbie," @signoflove1, the first beneficiary of the week I selected for her post:
What I would do better if I can travel back in time
Here is my post,
I am writing a message on the selected posts, and some of them understand the meaning of my message, so they feel happy and respond positively because they feel someone cares for them.
I posted a comment on her post, and she responded immediately.
My second newbie beneficiary is @esther97
Here is the post by my second beneficiary.
Here is my post:
A message on that post, whom I have set as beneficiaries in this post:
Once again, I received a nice message from her.
I completed my weekly duty as moderator, which was a little too much for my comfort and more than I expected, but that's a sign that users are trying to find alternative options. I found a couple of famous travelers posting their travel experiences.
Again, I am trying my best to support genuine queries by Steemians both new and old through various channels to support them in spreading awareness and pacifying them in case anyone has a problem.
At the Power- Up front, I made several additions to my wallet within the last month, as I have already reached my 8th Dolphin status. My next target is Orca.
Once again, I am proud to announce that as SR, I try my best to support all good posts, but as I have mentioned time and again, I feel SRs should have more power to support Steemians with extra talent. I am sure the Steem Team will see a point in my suggestion.
My CSI is normally in the range of 10-15, as I am supporting all who need my support; however, this week I could not visit as many posts because writing reports, moderation, and curation kept me busy on other assignments.
I must admit that most of my time is spent on writing comments. However, I am writing enough posts with no compromise with my posts' quality.
As I have always said, I support as many newbies as I can through various methods, including setting them as a beneficiary in 2 posts every week, which helps them stay positive. I always vote for low-level members according to their quality of posts and support them as a member and in my capacity of community curator and Steem Representative.
In the end, I am doing my job without any partiality, always thinking beyond any specific country or community, and supporting everyone on the platform on an equal basis. Last but not least, thanks to all the Steemians for all they do to support me and the Steemit platform in general.
That's all for this week!
Thanks all; have a nice time ahead.
Yours Sincerely
