The Most Dangerous Types of Lightning
Lightning or lightning is a natural phenomenon that usually appears during the rainy season, where a momentary dazzling flash of light appears in the sky, usually called lightning, which is followed a few moments later by a thunderous sound, often called thunder. This difference in appearance time is due to the difference between the speed of sound and the speed of light.

  1. ST. ELMO'S FIRE
Has been around for centuries, starting with the ancient Greeks, Julius Caesar, Columbus and Magellan. After Benjamin Franklin's lightning rod, this phenomenon was seen more on the ground, causing fear as the blue flames inspired stories of spirits and ghosts

Ball Thunder is a strange phenomenon, with reports going back to ancient Greece. The most common type is streak lightning, but these flashes cause the greatest threat to life and property. Lightning can be triggered by a variety of events ranging from thermonuclear explosions to rocket launches such as Challenger or Apollo 12.

  1. CLOUD FLASHES
When lightning flashes in clouds, you can sometimes see streaks in the air around the storm. It is called cloud-to-air lightning, otherwise referred to as “Anvil Crawler” Lightning can also travel from cloud to cloud. When lightning appears to be embedded in a cloud and appears to be at a luminosity during the flash portion, it is called sheet lighting or intra-cloud lightning. Many people have seen hot lightning, but say they have not heard thunder. However, thunder in the distance was too far away to be heard. Whenever there is lightning, there is also thunder.

Water is an excellent conductor, so it's smart to stay away from oceans, lakes and ponds during lightning storms. In storms, sailors risk being hit by lightning-clouds into the sea. In addition to strong winds, high, choppy waves, and heavy rain. Mariners are advised to seek safe harbor until the storm passes and ensure crew wear jackets.

  1. RE-STRIKE
This lightning bolt consists of 3-4 individual strokes, but may have more. Separated by 40-50 milliseconds, causing a "strobe light" effect. The first is the strongest. Each successive stroke usually re-uses the discharge channel taken by the previous stroke. Prolonged by the roar of thunder that strikes again.

8.UPPER ATMOSPHERIC LIGHTNING
Although rarely visible to the naked eye, lightning is very special, rarely visible as flash sprites of red, blue and elf jet. Wide sprite, weakly flashing in the storm. The lightning sprite appeared like a giant jellyfish with long blood-red-blue lights hanging from the tentacles. Jet Blue is narrow and shot from above the storm. jJet Blue is brighter than the sprite and was first recorded from a plane.
