Rant Post: My Inconsiderate Neighbor 😒

There was this sewer canal that runs along a narrow passage near my room. It originates from the compound of a few houses at the back of our house. They are draining their kitchen waste from there and maybe from their toilets there too, at least from the shower but not from the waste water from the toilets itself otherwise it will be too unbearable for me to endure coming from the stench of the liquid coming from this pesky sewer.

The thing is that the sewer overflows because it keeps on getting clogged because most probably it is not dirty water that flows through it but pieces of kitchen waste scraps too. This sewer also is a home of some family of rats.

At some point my father lifted-up one of the covers that runs along that sewer and rats came out from it as he told us. It will be still okay if the overflowing water from the sewer has no small but it has an overpowering stench.

Now I asked my parents to close the window in my room so that no smell will enter my room but doing so will restrict the flow of air in my room as a result. Now I am starting to bake in the hottest part in my house which is my room.

My mother actually asked the homeowners at the back but this village councilor, the owner of one of those houses told her that he cannot do anything about it. Basically saying "Fuck you, deal with it."

If I would switch places with him and me being the cause of this inconvenience I guess that he will report me to the village council and complain. But he is a buddy to the village captain, he is a village councilor and complaining will never give us a good result. This village councilor and his wife by the way has a history of taking items from relief goods such as coffee and milk to keep for themselves before distributing it to the people in the village.

If only I am able I will confront him myself but being helpless I just have to adjust to this situation for my inconvenience and discomfort and endure his inconsiderate nature. Bless this guy.
