Potala Palace was built by Songzan Ganbu to marry Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty. After expansion and reconstruction, it has become a magnificent building with the highest altitude in the world and integrating palaces, castles and monasteries. It is an outstanding representative of Tibetan Architecture and the essence of ancient Chinese architecture.
