Karaoke was invented in Japan by Daiske Inoue, a nightclub musician.

Now in most countries karaoke bars are public places: everyone can hear you singing.

It all depends on the karaoke system.

But it always has an ideal performance with indicators of the best tonality, tempo and rhythm.

If you sing close to ideal, you have high points.

The old karaoke systems were not too demanding: if you sing loudly, you get a high score.

Modern systems are smarter and promise that it will not work to deceive the algorithm with volume.

But at the same time, the system will not underestimate the score if, for example, you sang not with the key of the original, but hit the notes.

Personally, I don't like karaoke, because I don't like how non-professionals sing although I understand that they also want to sing.

I am for professional performance, and in this sense I like the Japanese with their karaoke boxes more.
