Steem greetings all the way from the motherland-Cameroon to friends on the steem4ladies community. Everyone has their unique habits that can be termed ‘your style’. In everyday we try to meet up with diverse activities and without a doubt we still catch up with some of our habits as it is our daily routines.

Permit me to share with you all some of my fitness and wellness styles which I do on a daily basis. I hope you find it interesting to read through.

As a mother, wife and working-class woman, it is very difficult to wake up early to prepare breakfast, feed the kids and do some workouts before leaving the house for work. I know many will say doing only house chores is enough workout to keep a woman fit. But that is not true, house chores do not keep you fit mentally, they affect you and to cope, you need some fitness exercise for your mental health.

Despite all the house chores I do, I often find time either early in the morning or in the evening hours to do my fitness exercises. This helps a lot to distract me from overthinking and also keep me fit.

Most women face lots of body shaming after birth because they eat a lot to breastfeed the baby. During and after childbirth, I tried to monitor my diet and control what I eat in order not to gain too much weight.

Early in the morning, I usually boil water with lemon, add honey and Lipton tea and drink it hot. This helps to boost my immune system before I take any meal for the day.

In Cameroon, we have fruits in seasons and in each season, I ensure to take more of that fruit. For instance, during the dry season, many suffer from cough and flu due to the harsh weather conditions. During this period, it is advisable to consume lots of fruits and vegetables. Vegetables are scarce but there are many oranges. I consumed lots of oranges during this period which boosted my vitamin C and prevented me from catching the flu.

I also ensure to consume more other fruits like pineapple, apples, and pawpaw. Vegetable salad is also one of the dishes I prepare most often to keep a healthy lifestyle.

In most dishes, I prepared, I mostly combined vegetables and ensured the meal contained all the classes of food. This will help us stay healthy and fit to face our daily hustle.

The last but not the least is constantly drinking a glass of water after an hour. Many people suffer from dehydration because they neither eat lots of fruits and vegetables nor drink enough water to keep them hydrated. I drink a lot of water during hot weather conditions to stay hydrated.

In sum, staying fit requires a lot of discipline on what you eat and also eating at the right time. My fitness and wellness routines are carefully planned and the results are always on point.
