I had previously wrote a post asking where everyone is at. Well at this point the party is actually on the Arena. https://arena.social/?ref=BrianPhobos
I have been on there for over a month but I hadn't really got on the stages and the guy who referred me to The Arena made a post on X and in the last 3 days he had made a lot from being on the various Stages and interacting with the community.
That really grabbed my attention and also it was said that in the last 3 weeks since Stages launched $300,000 in value has been tipped to users participating in the stages.
If you see the posts that were Reblogged by the CEO of The Arena Billy Marcus one of the creators of Dogecoin who just joined is asking him about an L1 and this other guy was saying the whole bit about $300K tips through the Stages in the first 3 weeks. Pretty crazy. I experienced it today and I was getting rained on with memes. COQ , NOCHILL, and also the Arena Tokens themselves. You get 30% APY by staking Arena Tokens so someone could certainly create a bit of a flywheel effect with the tips. When people tip me I end up following them and trying to engage with them.
The tipping culture isn't necessarily a thing on Steem, Hive, and Blurt and it is interesting it is a big part of being in the Stages on The Arena. The whole thing honestly had 2017 Steemit Vibes when things started getting hot and the upvotes and money was flying. It feels like it is right at the point of it hitting that tipping point where everyone gets on The Arena and tries to become a big deal on there.
According to my estimates there is at least 60,000 people on The Arena at this given time.
With X even with premium I'm still not monetized so the crypto gamification on the Arena makes it enticing. To be able to connect and tip to everyone in the Stages is huge. I even found out about a new meme that way that I had no idea existed. I just randomly joined a stage and there were people over there talking about promoting the meme.
I honestly think implementing something like that makes a ton of sense and being able to tip the base tokens or out on HIVE being able to tip with Hive Engine Tokens. It just doesn't make sense that people would be hanging out on Discord as much. Discord has more capability to send info back and forth to troubleshoot stuff though.
The Arena, X, STEEM, HIVE, and Blurt all have their own advantages but there certainly seems to be a diverse group of people out on the Arena. OpenChat on ICP has a lot of capabilities and ability to tip people in the app but I feel like there are only about 5,000 people on there.
The other thing that is unique about the Arena is the ability to buy Tickets for people's accounts so you have ownership in their success and can flip those tickets for a profit.
