Too Greedy

Hi Friends,

I don’t claim to be an amazing crypto investor but have done OK over the years. I like to toss money into random coins without much research - not a great strategy, but a few risky bets could pay off big.

One trade that I can think of haunts me a little bit. I put $500 into an obscure coin named DEXI, which has morphed into a play to earn site, though they started out with an augmented reality phone app.

My $500 grew to $15,000 as the coin ran and I had dreams of even bigger gains so I didn’t take any profits. Fast forward to today, and the coin has been deteriorating and I am now down on my DEXI investment.

I clearly got too greedy on this one. I should have taken some profits when I was 30x on my money and been content to let the remaining shares ride in case it turned out to be a big one, but alas, another loss to claim on my tax return if I am looking to harvest losses at year end.

Thanks for coming by,
Brian
