I truly love this place...

blackandlight -

It isn't close to home.

Usually, I have to drive for four-five hours, through a mountain range, only half the distance is covered by highways.

Still, I have been there multiple times, I stopped counting long time ago.

This place has some contradictions to itself too.

For instance, it is a single area but every visitor must buy two separate tickets, from kiosks next to each other.

Don't ask me about it, it's a Bulgarian nonsense, and I have to admit I am ashamed of that...

However, let's get to the positive character of it all...

Oh, this small bridge - I've seen newlyweds have wedding photoshoots there. Or just couples in love taking selfies:

This place is both a botanical garden and a historic museum that runs art exhibitions, almost all the time.

Built by a Romanian princess, yes, the area was inside Romania for some years. History here is quite colorful...

There is a sea port at the nearby city and it is normal to see ships, yachts, and all kind of boats through the flora of the garden:

Regattas often take place here too, as, we know, the sea is a windy surface ;)

The port itself could also be seen from this high place:

Sometimes those beautiful boats draw interesting figures in the sea waters:

...and if you happen to have some business with the garden administration... they are polite and helpful :)

The Botanical Garden near Balchik, Black Sea, Bulgaria is such a photogenic and picturesque place, I hope to be able to visit it many more times again...
