Ingredients for Chicken Biryani with Coconut Milk Recipe

Basmati rice - 1/2 kg

Chicken - 1/2 kg

Onion - one

Tomatoes- three

Cinnamon - five.

Cardamoms - six

Cloves- eight

Chili - five

Cashew - Guppedu

Garam masala powder - half spoon

Chilli - one spoon

Turmeric - half spoon

Biryani leaves – two

Curd - two spoons

Ginger garlic paste - two spoons

Coconut milk - one cup

Curry leaves - Guppedu

Coriander powder - four spoons

Mint extract - four spoons

Salt – to taste

Oil - enough

Ghee - two spoons

Water – Sufficient

Chicken Biryani Recipe with Coconut Milk

  1. Wash basmati rice thoroughly and soak it for half an hour.

  2. In the meantime, cut the chicken into pieces and put it in a bowl.

  3. Mix chilli, ginger garlic paste, curd and salt in that bowl and mix well.

  4. Keep aside for three hours. They marinate well.

  5. After that place a large pressure cooker on the stove and add oil.

  6. Add cinnamon, cloves, cashews, fenugreek seeds and cardamoms to the oil and fry.

  7. Then add finely chopped onions, green chillies and curry leaves and fry well.

  8. Then add finely chopped tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, garam masala, turmeric, coriander leaves, salt and mint leaves and cook.

  9. Keep it on low flame till the tomatoes become soft.

  10. Then add the previously marinated chicken and cook.

  11. Cook for a quarter of an hour until the chicken is 70% cooked.

  12. Then add pre-soaked basmati rice and mix.

  13. Add coconut milk and mix well.

  14. If coconut milk is not enough to cook rice then water can be added.

  15. Cover the pressure cooker and cook for ten minutes. Then the stove should be built.

  16. After steaming, remove the lid and apply ghee on top.

  17. That's it, the tasty chicken biryani with coconut milk is ready. If you eat it with raita, the taste will be overwhelming.
