Culinary preparation is a form of creating art and what a recipe brings out, is a creativity, experiences, and touch of an artist who created it. Today, I feel very lucky to take part in the contest called “My Unique Recipe” by @solaymann. Through it I have the great privilege to bring a dish I can truly call dear, the one which combines flavors and techniques I love most. Its a family recipe which can be thoroughly savored, an experimental craving or even an entirely orthodox recipe with a tweak of change, my recipe is my love for cooking reflected in every bite that is taken.
Cooking deceit not just mean providing food on the table, it’s all about how one can make the meal an enjoyable one. Today, I’m excited to share one of my all-time favorite recipes: Dimer Korma – delightful and yummy egg curry. There nothing that I and my family have specifically close to our heart than this dish.

What I like the most about Dimer Korma is its thick consistency and dense muscular taste and it becomes deliciously heavy so makes me feel special and that is why such dishes are a treat on certain occasions. A healthy combination of spices and rich paste makes it a perfect complements to any meal while being a dish that turns every meal into a celebration.
That is probably why I always take it to my table whether it is a small family dinner or a formal dinner for guests and I believe it should make it to your list too! I’ll gladly share the exact recipe with you in this post, so let me show you what it takes to make a simple yet happy meal.
🔹 6 Eggs (boiled)
🔹 2 tbsp Almond paste
🔹 1 cup Onion paste or finely chopped onions
🔹 1 tbsp Garlic paste
🔹 1 tbsp Ginger paste
🔹 ½ cup Milk
🔹 1 tbsp Ghee (clarified butter)
🔹 2 tbsp Oil
🔹 ½ tsp Cumin powder
🔹 1 tsp Coriander powder
🔹 Salt to taste
🔹 ½ tsp Black pepper powder
Begin by boiling the eggs. After they are boiled, with a knife, make some small cuts on the outer shell to give way for absorption of spices. Beat some oil in a skillet and gently fry the boiled eggs until they acquiring a brown surface. Take the eggs out of the pan and place them some where else.

Heat some oil in the same pan then add garam masala (a selection of cinnamon, bay leaf, and cardamom). Let the spices to fry for few seconds until it releases its aroma. Then, put finely chop of onions in it. Fry this mixture on medium heat until the onions will become golden brown. Then added onion paste and ginger garlic paste and cook it well.

Add the almond paste and mix well adding to it stirring the paste until incorporates with the onions. Now mix cumin powder, coriander powder, and black pepper. Sauté the spices for 2-3 minutes until its raw smell disappears from the kitchen.

Also carefully pour the fried eggs back to the pan. Mix the eggs gently in the mixture formed by the spices. Add milk, stirring from time to time for a thick and smooth tempting texture. Leave it to cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes.

Stir well, so that the fragrance of the ghee added should reach into the dish. Last but not the least mix a pinch of sugar to keep the flavors right. Stir it once more, and remove the curry from heat when it gets aromatic to your taste.

Now, Dimer Korma is now ready to be Served! This rich and creamy egg curry goes perfectly well with fluffy white rice, buttery parathas or a flavorful pulao. It is a rather soothing dish which to our dresser and we always prepare it on special occasions or any other occasions that we wish to pamper our selves.
Upon preparing Dimer Korma I eagerly awaited to taste the Korma that I had made from the bowl. And oh, what a treat it was! The first taste brought me back to whenever it was that I fell in love with this dish. The eggs were well done to soak up the aromas of the spices and the creamy gravy left me with a great of different hearty flavors.
I just love it! It is a delicious meal, and from the above ingredients, it contains proteins from the eggs, milk and fat from the ghee. It is a healthy choice for young and old, but mostly for toddlers who will find it easy to eat because of its smooth and slightly sweet taste.
