I believe that all of you are in a healthy and secure state. Regrettably, our nation is currently confronted with substantial obstacles, impeding our ability to maintain a typical way of life.
It was one of those days when I had to be occupied with many activities throughout the day and had an unforeseen evening schedule. It was a day like any other, with the sun rising early in the morning and calling for a packed day. In the morning I felt joyful since there was a program that was going to be held in our community. Morning had that fresh feeling to it so washing up in the morning and getting ready to start the day, and making breakfast was joyful.

After a good breakfast I with my son got ready and set off for the community program. The event was fun and stimulating with familiar faces and cheerful conversations. My child was very enthusiastic because it was a chance for my child to be interactive with other children in the community rarely done. We spent a substantial amount of time, approximately one to two hours, at that location, relishing the pleasant company and engaging in many enjoyable activities.
After that, we rushed back home when the program was over. And what about the kitchen then? Time to make lunch, so I pinned on the apron, ready to start. The smell of cooked food pervaded the house and the calmness brought this home to me that life is not just complex all the time. Following the early riser’s busy morning, a bath was received with welcomed relief while lunch adequately replenished the exhausted strength.
Right after that, I settled down, my husband came home. He discussed an occasion at his workplace in the evening we were to attend, an evening program. In the afternoon after lunch, we went to the CSD store for some shopping. We went out just for a few minutes to get some things that we needed. The store and its halls were comfortable for people and seemed to become our small but essential part of everyday life.
Upon arrival home, my husband had to go back to work at the office to finish some tasks. Towards the evening, we got prepared for the office party. Bearing in mind the day I wore a simple, elegant outfit which I felt expressed my mood of the day.
It was pleasant at my husband’s office today as they had a program. Even though the setting was friendly and relaxed people did joke and their conversations were not serious. We ate tasty meals and beverages and really enjoyed the meals that we ate.
My husband then had some official business to attend to in the evening to sort out. On the other hand, the office peon with a smile on his face came with a cup of tea for me. But it was a nice touch nonetheless and the tea was delicious, filling my insides with warmth and comfort. I stood for a few minutes watching, getting a closer look at my husband’s surroundings, the area where he spends quite some time at work.
Thus, when all the tasks were over, we returned to our home together. It was a satisfying day on which many intriguing events took place throughout the day that may have, on their own, not seemed like much but all added up to create a productive day. As I look back at my day it makes me appreciate the little things in life; family time, community events, or even laughing with friends.
Alhamdulillah, today was a favorable day. Notwithstanding the difficulties we encounter, these instances serve as a reminder of the gifts that we frequently fail to appreciate. May we experience an abundance of days enriched with affection, mirth, and cherished recollections.
