I guess I have to address this.

If I were a USC student, and this maniac were delivering a speech at my commencement, I would probably not attend the commencement.

Ya see, that's how people who believe in free speech show that we don't like what you have to say -- we just stay home rather than resorting to intimidation or shouting you down.

CAIR's statement on the subject is laughable, being that they're one of the greatest purveyors of hate on this side of the world. I didn't see CAIR, or any of these assholes, denouncing the anti-Israel demonstrations that were getting so out of hand that Kosher dining halls were being shut down and Jewish students were having to barricade themselves in closets and bathrooms.

Nonetheless, I've gotta take the side of the student here. In part, it's because I don't think that safety is a real worry here -- at least not to the extent that it would be if the student were a vocal supporter of Israel. There are a hundred times as many Muslims in the world than there are Jews, and those numbers are compounded by idiot college students who support regressive, Muslim theocracies out of hatred for the one Jewish state.

I think that the concerns about safety are fabricated. She could give her speech, and I'd bet my left testicle that nobody would even pull a fire alarm to stop her. I think that this is the administration of USC seeing what happen to the Jew-haters at Harvard, Penn, and MIT, and overcompensating.

Free speech must be absolute. In fact, free speech must be held as more important than safety. Free speech is more important than life. Even if the university received credible death threats against this student, it should be up to the student to choose whether or not to take the risk in order to say what she wants to say.

College graduates, outside of the rarest of outlires, are adults, and should be treated as such.

If this young woman were to use her platform to express what are probably anti-Jew and anti-Israel views, I think we should let her.

We would know who to hate.
