A couple of days ago, I thought it was time to stop the winter bird feeding season. The snow melts very quickly in our area and now the birds can look for food on their own.
But I noticed that the birds kept flying to the feeder and looking in my window, telling me - give us something to eat! That's how, for example, this green bird Greenfinch looked at my window today.
Well, of course, I can continue to put food for the birds while they fly to my window.
The bird feeder has fallen into complete disrepair after operating for three winter seasons. This year I want to build a more capital feeder so that it works for a longer time. This feeder should be more spacious because in the current feeder, one seed bookmark is not enough for birds for a full day.
By the way, I used duct tape to maintain the functionality of the feeder. She coped with her task perfectly over the past month and did not let the feeder fall apart.
I think the birds are completely oblivious to the beauty of the feeder. They are more interested in the contents of this feeder, they like sunflower seeds, which I feed birds in winter.
How many of these seeds have I fed to the birds this year? It seems to me that it is more than 50 kilograms.
The price of seeds has increased by more than 50 percent compared to last season. What will happen in the fall? What will be the price of sunflower seeds? I hope that the price will not rise much.
By the way, this is a Redpoll boy. And in the feeder, along with the Bullfinch and the Greenfinch, there is a girl.
In birds, guys always have brighter plumage. This can be seen in the example of a rooster and a hen.
Tomorrow, Sunday, I will put the seeds in the feeder for the last time this season. I think that now the birds can look for food on their own, especially since today no more than 10 of them arrived, and a couple of days ago there were about fifty of them. There was a large flock of redpoll.
