Nature has its own ways and methods to improve things.

Greetings friends!
I watched a documentary of DW tv which was very informative and also eye opener. DW tv which is a renowned German company, has many free documentaries on youtube. Link of the video is below:
According to the video, after the 2nd world war, Germany needed wood for renovation work. Germany and other European countries had lost lots of their forest cover. So, they covered the part of their lost forest with Spruce trees. There had been one kind of tree in the whole forest area and that was spruce. Industrial revolution came as a disaster for forests. Huge areas of land were deprived of green cover and there those trees were planted which were produced wood for industrial use. These artificial forests are deprived of varieties of trees and also do not protect wild animals. That's why this is harming our environment.
So, in the documentary it was told that a beetle species named bark beetle had targeted those spruce forests and almost deforested the whole country. This also happened in other part of Europe and America. Single dominating tree species was attacked by bugs and they were destroyed. What would we think about it? Certainly, everyone of us will see it as a disaster. But, nature has its own ways to maintain balance. One thing becomes bad but other thing also balance its impact. When old forests were destroyed, there native plants, shrubs and other trees started growing which were almost extinct. It means in the natural forest there will be various trees, plants and shrubs which will give shelter to various animals and birds. So, the beetle was not the villain. In fact, it was sent by nature to restore balance. Humans are the villain. We have our short vision which do not allow us to think beyond profit and loss in every business.
We should learn that we are not the master of this world. We are one of many species and we must respect nature. Nothing is bad in nature. It has its own ways and methods. It can restore balance, but it requires time to do so. Are we ready to sacrifice our greed, selfishness and arrogance of thinking ourselves above the laws of nature.
Thank you.
PS: Its a nice video. I think you should see it.
