🍂2. Abdual-Muttalib-----
It has been learned from the previous pages that the positions of Siqayyah and Rifaadah were given to the younger brother Muttalib after Hashim. Due to his generosity, the Quraysh had given him the title Fayyadh.
When Shaybah, i.e. Abd al-Muttalib, was ten or twelve years old, Muttalib came to know about him and set out to take him. When he reached near Yathrib and saw Shaybah, he burst into tears, hugged her to his chest and then set off for Mecca, making her sit on the back of his horse.
But Shaybah refused to go with him without his mother's permission. Therefore, Muttalib sought permission from his mother, but she did not give it.
Finally, Muttalib said, "He is going to his father's kingdom and the sanctuary of Allah." His mother gave permission, and Muttalib took him on his camel and took him to Mecca. The people of Mecca said, "This is Abd al-Muttalib, that is, Muttalib's slave." Muttalib said, "No, no. This is my nephew, that is, the son of my brother Hashim." Then Shaybah was raised by Muttalib and grew up...
After that, Muttalib died in the city of Rumaan (Yemen), and the positions he left were taken by Abd al-Muttalib. Abd al-Muttalib achieved such honor and respect among his people that none of his ancestors had been able to reach this position. The people loved him dearly and respected him greatly.
When Muttalib died, Nawfal usurped the court of Abdul Muttalib. Abdul Muttalib asked some people of Quraysh for help against his uncle, but they excused themselves by saying that they could not interfere between you and your uncle.
Finally, Abdul Muttalib wrote some poems to his uncle in Banu Tijar. In which he requested their help. In response, his uncle Asad bin Adi set out with eighty horsemen. And landed at Abtaha near Mecca.
Abdul Muttalib met him there and said, "Uncle! Let us go home." Abu Sa'd said, "No, by God!" Until I meet Nawfal. After that, Abu Saad went forward and stood on Nawfal's head. Nawfal was sitting with the elders of Quraysh in Hatim.
Abu Saad, brandishing his sword, said: "By the Lord of this house! If you do not return my nephew's land to him, I will drive this sword into you." Nawfal said, "Very well, I have returned it." On this, Abu Saad made the elders of Quraysh witness, then went to the house of Abdul Muttalib and after staying for three days and performing Umrah, returned to Medina.
