Like they always say, sometimes life throw to us what we expect least and we just need to accept it as it comes. Today I will be participating in the @steem.ofanimals Community contest and be sharing my view how far this year have gone.

Animal population status (mention the name of the animal it comes from...)
For example, the Bird of Paradise from Papua, Indonesia

I will be talking about the Broiler Chicken Nigeria Species. It is actually a domesticated bird that is always rared in Nigeria because of meat production. Talking about the population status of the Broiler Chicken in Nigeria, I will say it is still in huge fihure because it is mostly seen for poultry meat.

Apart from the poultry meat, I will say Broiler chickens are also raised for commercial farms even in Nigeria as people raised it for few months before finally used for meat. But one of the common issues I have seen with it is that it always have Challenges like disease outbreaks and even poor farming practices can affect them most of the time.

What causes habitat and environmental changes so that this animal is threatened with extinction or why this animal has become a typical animal of that region or country.

Well I will say the Broiler Chicken even though it still have huge numbers now, I will say there is still every possibility that it might go out of extinct if the human intervention should not actually continue likes that because of the type of animal it is.

Talking about the various reason why a broiler chicken Nigeria Species is still very important are below;

Threats to Their Production

Before I move to the next question, I will quickly like to talk about the Threats to their production. Even though it might look like they are still popular right now, I fear that they might go out of extinct very soon if not careful.

Legal Status and Legal Protection (Mention the law that protects the animal. (Please illustrate to the best of your ability)

Let me say that the Broiler chicken actually most especially the Nigeria species does not fit into any major legal protection because it is always seen as a domesticated animal. But I will say the welfare of the animal is still governed by the general laws. Those regulations and laws helps to deal with animal husbandry and many more most especially the food safety.

There are some legal frameworks and bodies that is established to guide the rearing of animals like Broiler Chicken.

Illustration of Legal Protection

Well, talking about the illustrations of the legal protection, I will say take for instance I am a farmer which does not pay careful attention to the disease prevention laws and rules establish for poultry farming, I can face fines and even penalties.

All these Frameworks are actually just established to make sure that even if the broiler chicken is seen as an animal reared for meat, it is still good for consumption and also for helping to protect the animals and even at the end of the day the consumers.

I invite @edgargonzalez , @walictd and @ripon0630 @lhorgic and @damithudaya to drop a very constructive comments on this post and also to participate in this contest.
