Assalamu Alaikum Friends,
Today is a history making day of Bangladesh. Today the people of Bangladesh have got a country free from dictatorship. No one knew that this would be the outcome of the anti-discrimination student movement that had been going on since July. Let's reveal how my day was today through a diary.

In this situation of the country, I did not sleep well at night. I woke up in the morning and was watching the overall situation of the country's movement on my mobile phone. I got up fresh and turned on the PC and was watching the news. I have no food in my stomach today. Curfew has been imposed across the country while students and masses have organized long marches and plans to lay siege to public buildings. Meanwhile, the government has stopped mobile internet. The mobile internet shut down shortly after the broadband shut down which completely cut me off from everything. I was watching the news on TV.

Again after 2 hours broadband internet is coming but very slow. We are sitting at noon watching the news on our mobile phone and getting a glimpse that Hasina government is resigning to the President. Bangladesh Army chief was present during the resignation. We got a glimpse and joined the procession and saw the joy of the people. The people of Bengal are free today and all classes of men and women have joined this joyous procession. The slogans of this march were various ugly slogans against the government.

The number of people in the procession is increasing with time. We are marching in procession to the city and from the city to the great field. I met my friends near the field and chatted with them for a long time. Meanwhile, thousands of people have gathered in the field. Everyone is talking happily today. We are taking photos with the national flag and exchanging greetings with each other. We were in the field for about 3 hours.

We walked out of the field and got ice cream from a shop next door. We were standing in front of the house of a Member of Parliament of Dinajpur when many local people set fire to his house and looted his belongings. More looting is looting from the businesses of the leaders of the resigned government.

We came home and took bath. We are happy today but the overall situation in the country is not good especially the law and order force has been severely disrupted. Miscreants are attacking and vandalizing the houses of every newly resigned leader. Many leaders have been beaten to death by opposition party leaders. We cooked chicken at night and ate it all. I spoke to my mother at home and learned that many political leaders in my area have been burnt to death and many are in danger. Ending today as Allah Hafez.
